This
paper compares the predicted hazard zones as function of wind speed
following two different accidental release scenarios. One of the models
uses a heavy gas dispersion algorithm, wile the other employs a Gaussian
model. At high wind speeds, both models give extrapolated predictions.
Limitations and errors will be pointed out. Further, a quantifiable
measure of risk is given and compared to the probability of observing a
specific concentration at a given spatial location. |
